Just a fabulous experience from start to finish. The 22 course was some of the freshest, most delicious and often creative sushi we’ve ever eaten. They have a wonderful selection of Japanese sake and the chef was so helpful in finding the right drink for our tastes. Speaking of which, our sushi chef Yoshihito was incredible. Not only did he have a complete mastery of his art form and was a pleasure to watch in action, he was friendly, personable and even gave us recommendations for places to see on our trip. There are other sushi kaiseki dinners in Japan that are far more expensive for far less food, and the freshness of the fish and all ingredients at Sushi Toiro was above and beyond expectations.

We had such a great time here - the food was really good and some very unique dishes. The chef was excellent and despite not knowing a lot of english, was very interactive and engaged with us the whole time. Highly recommend!

We had THE best dining experience so far on our trip to Japan with the Watanabe family. We had the most delicious lunch, course after course (best baby squid and soba fish dishes we’ve ever had). While the food was second to none the hospitality was so genuine and warming. Everyone made it so special especially Mrs W, her husband and very talented chef son. Could not recommend highly enough - thanks for making our trip so special.

Foreigner-friendly restaurant. Only one person serving all the tables, but she was able to take care of everyone all the while friendly. She expertly cooked our food for us, explaining which sauce to use for each course. Food was delicious! Atmosphere was great! The chef even came to our table and showed us the meat cake. Will come back next time we are in Tokyo.

The food and atmosphere at Cave was wonderful! This was quite literally the best meal we had during our trip to Japan. The Chef took great care in preparing our meals with local ingredients and was clearly passionate about food. The wine and cocktails were also very very good. I highly recommend Cave to any considering it. The restaurant is cozy and seats about 8-12, great for a small group.
