Hitoshizuku
Premium, hand-picked ingredients served in an informal kappo setting, with a price point that can’t be beaten.
Restaurant Details
This traditional Japanese restaurant is located just a short walk from the entrance to Nara’s famous Noborioji Park, offering premium nihon-ryori cuisine in a relaxed, informal setting. The interior is clean and modern, but with the warm feel of traditional Japanese decor. With all meals served in the kappo countertop style, every guest at the seven-seat counter can watch the chef at work, enjoying the show with a glass of sake or Japanese wine in hand.
Guest who visit in the daytime will find incredibly affordable lunches on offer. The "basic" lunch course is a 10-course tasting meal featuring sashimi, various traditional Japanese dishes, and dessert, all for just ¥3,500. As is customary for restaurants, dinner courses get more extravagant, starting at ¥8,800, but a single bite will assure diners that it is very much worth the premium.
Regardless of service timing, the chef personally selects all of the ingredients used in these omakase course meals, which change regularly according to the season, showcasing the ingredients of choice that are the most in-season at the time. A popular choice all-year-round, however, is the wagyu beef steak, which never goes out of season.
