Ultimate Shizuoka Tea Tour with Tea Farm and Cafe Tour

My friend and I visited the Obubu tea farm in May 2024. We were staying in Kyoto, so it took about 2 hrs of public transport to reach the farm. It was nice to get put of the city and spend time in a lush and rural environment. I particularly enjoyed the visit to the tea fields and the tastings after lunch. It might be a good idea to have either a microphone or some other device while touring the factory, since the machines were so very loud, I didn’t hear a word ☹️

Traditional Tea Ceremony in Ginza

Enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine The area where the host lives is a quiet residential area in Tokyo where you can feel the real Japan. There is a traditional Japanese temple within walking distance, and the shopping street where locals shop is lined with many foods that Japanese people usually buy. She will teach you Shojin Ryori, a traditional Japanese dish. No chemical seasonings are used, and the gentle seasoning allows you to enjoy the original taste of vegetables. I think it's a great dish if you're vegan. You can feel like a Japanese chef when you serve your food on beautiful Japanese tableware. She is a good conversationalist, teaches you cooking steps at a good pace, and even you can offers an optional ingredient shopping tour. They are very kind people and you will love them too. It's also adorable to see the cute little birds Peter happily singing while cooking.
