Matcha is now a beloved drink worldwide, but there’s nothing like enjoying true, genuine matcha the traditional Japanese way. Preparing and serving matcha in an authentic way is considered a gesture of utmost hospitality in Japanese culture and is a time-tested technique that results in delicious, frothy matcha every time. Learn the matcha-making process for yourself in this fun, informative class near Shinsaibashi Station in Osaka.


This one-hour tea experience is designed to teach guests everything they need to know about matcha. With the help of welcoming and friendly English-speaking staff, you’ll discover the history of matcha, its differences from green tea, and the many varieties available to try across the country. You’ll also learn to use traditional equipment like matcha whisks and bowls to brew fresh matcha tea to enjoy.


In keeping with tradition, you’ll enjoy matcha with a selection of traditional Japanese confectioneries called wagashi. Characterized by a mild sweetness, plant-based ingredients, and charming seasonal motifs, wagashi perfectly complements the bitter notes of matcha.


This class is conveniently located within walking distance of Shinsaibashi Station in Osaka, known for its bustling nightlife and multiple entertainment options.
