Taking a traditional udon and tempura making class in a 90-year-old Japanese house was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was steeped in history, with the wooden beams and tatami mats providing a cozy, authentic backdrop. Ayumi, a warm and knowledgeable instructor, guided me through each step of preparing fresh udon noodles from scratch and frying delicate tempura. The hands-on experience allowed me to appreciate the art of these classic dishes, while the instructor’s insights into Japanese cooking traditions deepened my understanding. The class was intimate, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and the final meal was both satisfying and delicious. It was a wonderful way to connect with Japanese culture in such a unique setting.

I did the Miso workshop with Naomi. Absolutely amazing. If you love ferments, health, miso, japanese cooking and flavours or have no idea what any of this is - I highly recommend. Naomi is a lovely person and it really feel like you are getting the true cultural vibe in her shop. Its like being at home Naomi and staff are so friendly and relaxed. It was one of my favourite experiences in Tokyo and the whole Japan. Im home now and inspired to turn my kitchen into a fermentation palace, jus like Naomi. Naomi a picture of health, so it has reinforced to me why I want more of this lifestyle.

Amazing experience. Tomoko is a very talented chef, and she taught us to make some of the most delicious and fluffy Japanese pancakes I have ever seen.Even though the activity is not supposed to take more than 1.5 hours, she spent about 3 hours with us, and allowed us to try a couple of times and she also prepared additional japanese desserts for us, and provided us the recipes. You can tell she really enjoys cooking and teaching people. All in all, it was well worth the money and I encourage anybody who wants to learn how to make authentic japanese pancakes to try this experiance.
