Amazing Experience with Japanese Knives! This was an unforgettable experience that taught me so much about the art of Japanese knives. I learned: The secrets behind why Japanese knives are so sharp and special. Proper cutting techniques to elevate my skills in the kitchen. How to use the right knife for each task. Tips and tricks for sharpening knives effectively. The highlight was cutting fresh tuna and making a delicious tuna bowl—it was a true culinary delight! If you’re passionate about cooking or want to learn more about Japanese knives, this experience is a must-try. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this experience. All three of us (my friend and daughter (adult-age) loved everything about it, the setting, the making of the sweets and tea, the sharing of information/history—most of all, we were so touched by the kind attention given to us by our wonderful teachers: Emiko, Junko, and Ayaka. We felt that they put so much effort preparing and during the session to ensure that we had this lovely time. We would highly recommend it!

My husband and I booked this class as our last fun experience on our honeymoon, and it was a great way to end our trip! Miyuki was a great instructor. She explained every step very clearly and had so much patience in answering our numerous questions throughout the class. The meal we created in the end was so delicious. We can't wait to practice what we learned back at home. Highly recommend this class!

Savor Japanese Umami: Dashi Tasting & Cooking Class (Tokyo)

Having deep knowledge about Japanese food itself especially knowing 5 tastes with emphasized Umami was very interesting. Comparing the taste of soup gave some idea about what kind of blank the ingredients have and what would be the good combination for it to fill in the blank. Overall the experience was much appreciated, the cooking progress and explanation were easy to follow and enjoyable.
