Experience Details

Within a few years since its opening, the new Toyosu Wholesale Market, nearly double in size compared to Tsukiji, has quickly become one of Tokyo's major gastronomic hubs. Toyosu, known for being the biggest fish market in the world, is a true foodie paradise. In this tour, you'll be guided through this bustling market by a knowledgeable local who will show you a wide array of unique local offerings. Experience flow: - Upon meeting your host, you'll cheer "kanpai" with Japanese sake (or soft drinks) in anticipation of a great day. - Arrive at the market, where you'll explore a street food area that resembles traditional food stalls. - Surrounded by fresh offerings and tantalizing aromas, try delicious street foods, including a fresh seafood bowl, ayu kushi (grilled fish skewers), tuna skewers and freshly baked senbei rice crackers. - Participants aged 20 and over will also sample several kinds of sake from across Japan. - You'll then enjoy Japanese desserts, like taiyaki (a sweet fish-shaped pastry filled with sweet bean paste), matcha ice cream or a refreshing matcha latte. - Next, your guide will lead you to a hidden elevator that will transport you to a deck with a breathtaking view of Tokyo Bay. As the city unfolds beneath you, prepare to unwind in true Japanese fashion — with a relaxing foot bath. This foot bath is an authentic one, using water from hot spring meccas Hakone and Yugawara. You can bring your towel or buy a small one onsite for an additional fee. -Take in the beautiful views of the city before returning to the station and concluding the tour. In this unforgettable tour, you'll experience the many charms of Toyosu Market – from bustling fish stalls and traditional market street foods to a tranquil deck where you can relax and take in the views of the glittering Tokyo skyline.
