Katsuji is a seasoned culinary entrepreneur with a remarkable 38-year career in the restaurant industry. He's successfully managed and operated a variety of Japanese dining establishments, from izakayas to sushi and ramen restaurants. In addition to his restaurant ventures, Katsuji and his daughter Chiharu now offer cooking classes from their home. These classes cover various Japanese and Osaka-style dishes, including sushi, ramen, and izakaya favorites.

Japanese Tea Ceremony in a Tea Room: Your journey begins with a tea ceremony in a tranquil tea room in Katsuji’s home. This is an opportunity to unwind, take in your surroundings, and socialize while experiencing an authentic Japanese tea ceremony.

Sushi and Ramen Cooking Class: Guided by a skilled instructor (Katsuji), you’ll prepare the finest ingredients, perfect the art of sushi rice preparation, and learn the intricacies of rolling and shaping various types of sushi. The second recipe on your Japanese cooking roster is ramen with pork char siu, green onions, and bean sprouts with a chicken bone and soy sauce-flavored pork bone broth. Once your creations are complete, sit back and enjoy your handmade sushi and the rich, soul-warming broth of your ramen.

As your experience draws to a close, you’ll receive a custom piece of calligraphy art created by Katsuji himself.
