One of the best restaurants we have ever been to. My wife wasn't feeling well, she had a bit of a fever. The staff did everything they could to make her feel better. They went our of their way to support here. I didn't even know how to thank them. One of the best meals and one of the best staff. Truly amazing restaurant.

I honestly cannot recommend Toka An highly enough. The food was some of the best I've ever had in my life, every course was absolutely delicious. By the time we got to the steamed fish course we were getting very full and weren't able to finish it, so the chef made onigiri with the leftovers for us to take away with us! The ambience in the private dining room was lovely, very calm and with beautiful background music at the perfect volume - just enough to hear clearly without intruding. We were served by the chef and her mother, who were both an absolute delight, and we had a really lovely conversation with the chef after our meal. Toka An is a bit out of the way (about an hour outside Hiroshima by local train), but is more than worth the effort to get there. Our lunch at Toka An was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Japan and we've already decided that we'll be going back next time we're able to travel to Japan, no question.
