While learning to make sushi can seem daunting and time-consuming, your hosts have designed this no-fuss, quick and easy class to teach you the basics. Their premise? A fun and educational wagyu sushi-making class where you can enjoy your delicious homemade meal at the end.
Itinerary:
-Meet your host at Matsuyamachi Station and walk together to the kitchen studio
-Upon arrival, wash your hands and learn about the flow of the day
-Start cooking: make cucumber rolls and miso soup
-Sear the wagyu, prepare the rice and torch the beef
-Sit down and enjoy your homemade wagyu sushi with views of the city
-Receive a unique souvenir to commemorate the class
Your host for this experience will be either Max or Shohei, both Osaka residents with cuisine backgrounds and international experience. Max is a Japanese-American guide from a family of restauranteurs who loves sharing travel tips and has a contagious enthusiasm for Osaka foods. Shohei is a home cooking and baking specialist who keeps his mom’s recipes close to heart.
