Shoroku
Enjoy the rich flavors of Osaka cuisine in seasonal kaiseki dishes from a father-son kitchen team at Michelin-starred Shoroku.
Restaurant Details
This traditional restaurant in Osaka treads the line between Kyoto and Osaka in tremendous fashion. While Kyoto-style cuisine focuses on getting the best out of natural flavors, Osakans tend to add more seasonings and sauces to their dishes. At Shoroku, you’ll find the nature-inspired menu and format of fine kaiseki dining, with the more explosive flavors of Osaka’s kappo style.
This is all prepared by a father-son team of chefs. Nowadays his son leads the place, providing a mouthwatering showcase of local fine-dining favorites in a chef’s-choice set meal to remember.
Expect dishes such as duck in tomato jelly, grilled Kagoshima beef, and shellfish with ginger rice. Some dishes might even be whipped up on the spot to suit your own personal preferences! Such service is rarely available at a Michelin-starred kappo restaurant, never mind one with such a reasonable price tag.
