Shima
Some of the highest grade beef available in Tokyo, at a more reasonable price compared to other high-end Tokyo steakhouses.
Restaurant Details
Shima serves high-grade beef at some of the most reasonable prices, considering the top-notch quality. There are two kinds of steak served here — sirloin and fillet — and each is made out of a different type of beef, both of the finest quality, of course.
The sirloin is made of Kobe beef from Tajima cows, prized for their pure bloodline, and the fillet is made of wagyu from Kyoto. On top of steak dishes, there is also a simple selection of appetizers including crab meat croquettes and other seafood dishes.
The friendly chef Oshima Manabu tends to the customers with his own attentive service. The involvement of the master behind the grill wins Shima some serious points for quality service.
The takeaway steak sandwiches are famous here. While advanced requests are needed, it's definitely worth it, as they are prepared every day by Chef Oshima. Don't leave Shima out of your must-try places in Tokyo, because you’re unlikely to find beef of this caliber at such reasonable prices in any other other steakhouse in Tokyo.
