On the way into Oimatsu Hisano, you’ll be greeted by a display of seasonal flowers — a little visual teaser of what’s in store. This traditional restaurant in Osaka presents a full seasonal feast in their omakase chef’s choice meals, with some of the best charcoal grilled dishes in the city.
In the summer months, conger eel is the central ingredient, with winter favorites including crab and daikon radish. A great range of Japanese sake compliments each dish, with some bottles from the legendary brewer Naohiko Noguchi on offer.
You might find it a little difficult to land a seat here, given the boom in popularity after Oimatsu Hisano received its Michelin star, so place your reservation early.
