Masuda
Masuda mixes the past and future into one full kaiseki meal.
Restaurant Details
Masuda is no ordinary kaiseki restaurant. Just a short walk away from the busiest area in Osaka, this Michelin-starred restaurant is found on one of the corners of an inconspicuous alley in Shinsaibashi. While all are welcome, Masuda's aesthetics are mainly directed at the female audience.
Even though the chef-owner, Yoshichika Masuda, went through training in kappo restaurants full of businessmen, he still dedicated his restaurant's concept to providing a comfortable space for women to enjoy fine Japanese dining. His acute sense of detail and fresh sensitivity is what makes him ideal for such a role.
Masuda's usage of seasonal ingredients not only affects the menu each month, but also the presentation of them. Placing small servings onto a long plate is one of the ways Masuda provides a dining experience which is as easy on the eye as the palate. This restaurant not only serves the most quality of components but also provides a dining experience in a space that's been brought together especially for female customers.
