Kashiwaya Osaka Senriyama
Few kaiseki restaurants can claim three Michelin stars, but this Osaka institution is one of them.
Restaurant Details
With a grand atmosphere achieved through adherence to the traditions of tea ceremony, and an uncompromising approach to freshness and ingredient quality, this flawless kaiseki restaurant in the north of Osaka has achieved the coveted three Michelin star status.
This atmosphere is set through the interior design, which mirrors that of a traditional tea house, with sliding doors and paper screens which give the place an air of history and elegance.
Their ingredients are purchased and prepared according to the time and date of your reservation to guarantee maximum freshness, and it shows in every bite of every dish. The eight dish omakase menu prepared by chef Hideaki Matsuo features dishes which seek to define the Japanese character, while displaying it in a novel light.
This results in dishes such as tilefish marinated with fermented shrimp paste, and red sea bream with apricot pulp sauce and soy.
