Hakushika Classics
Dozens of Japan’s finest sakes are assembled here at this Nishinomiya restaurant, which aims to redefine what “luxury” means.
Restaurant Details
Luxury isn’t something that can be measured solely in terms of money, according to the owners of Hakushika Classics. From their point of view, the current perception of “luxury” has long since been subsumed by consumerism.
Instead, Hakushika Classics embodies the perspective that luxury is a mood, an atmosphere; something that has to be felt. Thus was the Nishinomiya restaurant established in 2016, to create a place in which guests could enjoy actual “luxury”; by not only relaxing in an opulent environment, but also by enjoying sake in its various forms.
A restaurant that proclaims itself to be at the crossroads of flowers, Japanese cuisine and top-grade sake, Hakushika Classics believes that the enjoyment of sake is the key final step to unlocking true luxury. Beneath a curtain of flowers, guests are invited to partake in not just lavish course menus that incorporate high-class ingredients like Kobe beef thigh, but also some of the most storied sake from the Nishinomiya region, a city with a long history of producing some of Japan’s best sake. As is to be expected from a Nishinomiya establishment, the restaurant also incorporates several sake ingredients into their menus.
As seasons change, so does the menu — but regardless of the time of year, Hakushika Classics is dedicated to an unchanging luxury experience.
