Small but mighty, CafeDouce is a great place for vegetarians to find a quality Western-style breakfast and cafe food in the Hakone area.

Located by the Hakone Open Air Museum, CafeDouce is a comfortable little cafe that serves a wide variety of cafe food.


CafeDouce is best known for its curry. Their signature baked curry set costs around 1000 yen and comes with a simple salad, baked curry dish, fruit jelly, and a cup of coffee. Many of the curry dishes also have a vegetarian option.


Besides curry, there are also other vegetarian options, which have a dedicated section on the menu. There are also pizza and toast, staple foods found in cafes.


This Hakone cafe has a cozy ambiance and the service is attentive. The staff makes sure to meet everyone’s dietary needs, and they also speak good English, making conversations with foreign visitors much easier.
