Yakitori Ogawa
Feast on modern-style yakitori with traditional Japanese flavors featuring every part of the chicken.
Restaurant Details
Yakitori Ogawa is a cozy 15-seat grilled chicken restaurant located in the streets of Arakicho, Shinjuku. The restaurant’s quiet location is a lovely change of pace from the busy streets of Shinjuku but with the same electric, friendly ambiance and service.
Chef Ogawa is the sole cook in the open kitchen, working magic on every piece as patrons watch while waiting for their orders. The smell of smoke and meat mingling with the buzz of conversations in the restaurant whet guests' appetite for an unforgettable feast.
A la carte options are available, of course, but the omakase (chef's choice) menu is what most people go for, especially first-time visitors who want to try everything. And the omakase menu really has everything: from small plates and appetizers, to skewers, soups, and dessert.
Every part of the chicken has its place in this gourmet package, from thigh and breast meat to heart and liver — Chef Ogawa knows exactly how to use and prepare each one. It's this expertise that had him hold a Michelin Bib Gourmand award for almost 10 years.
Want to order from the a la carte menu instead? No issues at all. An English menu and well-prepared staff serve guests with top-notch hospitality without anything getting lost in translation.
