We had an absolutely incredible time on the ramen tour! 🍜✨ Honestly, it was one of the most fascinating and memorable experiences of our lives! Akiko-san is such a warm, cheerful, and welcoming person, and her family is just as wonderful. From the very beginning, she made sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged. She speaks English very well and explains everything thoroughly, making the experience enjoyable and easy to follow. One of the highlights of the tour was visiting a small, authentic noodle factory, where we got to see firsthand how ramen noodles are made! It was amazing to watch the process up close and even more exciting to choose our own fresh noodles straight from the machine! 🍜🤩 Learning about the history of ramen added an extra layer of appreciation, and we were surprised by how much we didn’t know before! Beyond the ramen itself, what truly made this tour special was the atmosphere Akiko-san created. The entire day was filled with laughter, joy, and genuine Japanese hospitality! She went above and beyond to make sure everyone had an unforgettable time. This tour is truly special, and we strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience something unique in Japan! 🇯🇵✨ It’s more than just a food tour—it’s a deep dive into the culture, history, and heart of ramen, guided by someone who is truly passionate about sharing it with others! 🥰

Akiko-san is a super friendly guide! At first she took us to the ramen noodle factory, owned gby her brother. He explained with so much details about how is noddle making process and he was very patient to answer all of the questions. We also made and choose which noodle we want for our ramen! After the factory experience Akiko-san took us to her home and we prepared with her help all the meal! She was explaining all the ingredients and teaching us how to make them. We also got to know her family as well. They are super friendly and they welcomed us as she did. I had this heartwarming feeling because it was my first time getting in a japanese home and having this unique experience. I'm grateful and appreciated a lot this moment because I got to know a little bit more about japanese cuisine, culture and daily life in a new perspective.Since it's quite private experience and not touristic one, I felt more comfortable and I believe I've enjoyed it way more than any other average tourist "must visit/do" one. I'm totally recommend anyone want to have a more chill and super immersive moment in japanese culture.

It was a wonderful experience. Seeing the entire process and how it’s done was incredible. Akiko San’s brother was very patient in explaining everything at the factory. Later, at Akiko San’s house, we made ramen and gyoza. She was very kind and attentive throughout, and her family welcomed us warmly, along with their very cute dog. Thank you so much, Akiko San, for welcoming us into your home and teaching us about Japanese cuisine. It was clear that you love what you do ❤️.

*****BRILLIANT & RARE EXPERIENCE!!!****** The host, Akiko san, deserves high praise for her generosity and passion for curating this one-of-a-kind experience. Not only do you visit a family-run small business, but it happens to be doubly special as it's a Ramen noodles-making factory! Akiko san's brother runs the factory and it's such a family project! Akiko san practically grew up there, so one gets a sense of incredible warmth and love for their work. This is truly a special experience as it's not every day one can walk into a live business unit -- Japanese businesses rarely, if ever, host visitors and definitely harder to find explanations/ interpretation in English. Akiko san is an English teacher at a nearby middle school, so you know you have the BEST person for the job. But, I would say the second half of the experience was even more special! We were hosted by Akiko san and her family at their private home. We had lots of fun cooking Ramen, and Akiko san had also arranged to make Gyoza (grilled dumplings that are so delicious!), a wonderful Salad with whitebait and fresh greens, and a traditional Japanese dessert (Anmitsu). We were bursting with all the food! Let me tell you -- it's incredibly rare for a Japanese local to invite you to their homes. Even if you're friends with a Japanese person for 30+ years, you'd barely know where/ how they live. This is an incredible opportunity for a visitor to see/ learn how a Japanese home is designed. 5-stars for this experience!

I recently had the pleasure of attending a wagashi class with Yukiko Uramoto, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, Yukiko welcomed us with a warm and bright smile to her cozy home, with her dining room and kitchen serving as the perfect classroom setting. As Vegans, we were particularly impressed by how thoughtfully Yukiko adapted the ingredients, ensuring that we could fully enjoy every aspect of the class. Yukiko’s passion for Japanese culture and food was evident throughout, and she patiently guided us through each step with care and enthusiasm. We learned how to make several traditional wagashi, including the Hanami Dango, Fruits Daifuku, Warabi Mochi, and Ice Cream Mochi. By the end of the class, we were treated to a delightful tasting session, when Yukiko served us green tea and a special Isobe Mochi, which was a delicious and unexpected treat. Overall, it was a 5/5 experience. Highly recommended for Vegans, and anyone interested in learning more about Japanese sweets and culture!
