Was interesting, but the larger part of the market is the „tourist“-market only one building is actually the fish-market. So if you have enough time in Tokyo go for it, if you are an a tighter schedule save your time.

We had a great time wandering the fishmarkets with Romy. She was able to provide us with great information about the fishmarket history and culture. We were able to try different foods at the small stores. It was great having someone able to give us insights we would not have got on our own.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Tsukiji Outer Market tour with our guide Kanako. Her perspective as a local was very interesting as to how she and her family prepare and eat the food we were seeing. She knows the market and it's history well, and gave us a wonderful sampling of foods including fish cakes, sushi, wagu skewers, nuts, tea and sake. It was a complete 3hr tour. Well worth the time and money. Highly recommend.

It was a very hot and humid day, not ideal to be outside in the market, but it was still very enjoyable. Tadashi, our guide, made sure that we were as comfortable as possible and was very knowledgeable about the exotic foods we saw. Top marks for the Wagyu beef skewers 😋
