Experience Details
Matcha (Japanese green tea) is known worldwide; it's used in sweets, lattes, etc. But matcha isn't the only tea with Japanese origins. Japan is responsible for other deliciously elegant teas, each with a unique color, flavor, and aroma.
Through this experience, you will not only taste some of the very best high-grade Japanese teas there are, but you will also learn about the cultural and historical significance of tea from trained tea instructors. Enjoy sipping tea, learning more about Japanese history and culture, having great conversations, making new friends, and snacking on traditional Japanese sweets near Tokyo Tower!
You will get to try five or seven (depending on which course you select) different types of tea, including “gyokuro” tea which is known for its rich and elegant flavor. Each tea will also be paired and served with wagashi - a traditional Japanese sweet.
In the end, you will be given a souvenir pack of drip tea which you can enjoy in your hotel or at your own home. You will be able to relive your experience at home and feel connected again to Japan's culture and history.
