Meet and interact with geisha on this unique tour of Fukuoka, where you’ll experience its culture, history, traditions, and foods with local guides.
Your first stop will be Kushida Shrine, where the famous Hakata Gion Festival is celebrated yearly. You'll then stroll a retro shopping street packed with shops and restaurants. Here, you'll shop for traditional Japanese sweets at a long-standing shop with help from your guide.
Next, you'll enjoy a geisha shamisen and dance performance, and you'll have the opportunity to interact with geisha and take photos. Finally, indulge in a Japanese-style lunch featuring Hakata's specialties, followed by tea and sweets.
Itinerary:
- Meet your guide at the meeting point (~5 minutes from Hakata Station by train)
- Visit Kushida Shrine and shop for traditional Japanese sweets at the Kawabata Shopping Street (~45 mins)
- Enjoy a traditional Japanese dance and shamisen performance (~30 minutes)
- Wrap up the experience with lunch, tea, and traditional wagashi sweets (~1 hour)
