Excellent experience with David; a warm and engaging personality delighted with his passion of raising the one true wasabi! :-) I hope many others can enjoy his enthusiastic account of picking up roots, moving to Japan and participating in the quickly disappearing art of raising quality wasabi. A thoroughly wonderful experience all around.

We had a fantastic evening with our Kyoto Izakaya food guide, Hiroshi! We truly appreciated his enthusiasm when sharing his love and knowledge of the food and culture. All the food choices that he made for us were fabulous and delicious! And we thoroughly enjoyed our after dinner stroll through Gion and surrounding areas, all while Hiro shared interesting facts about Japanese culture & traditions. We highly recommend Hiro if you want a fun night out with wonderful memories of Kyoto that you can look back on fondly!

Historical Tour in Asakusa With Street Food & Sweets

This tour was a great experience with lots of tasty food options. My favorites were the melon pan and menchikatsu—both were absolutely delicious! We also had some fun trying O-mikuji, even though we all ended up with bad luck! It’s a perfect tour for families, especially since there are plenty of sweets that kids will enjoy. I would have loved a few more savory choices, but overall, it was a really enjoyable mix of flavors and local culture.

Overall a very enjoyable experience. I have wanted to make ramen from scratch for a long time now, and this class was a great start. Chef Saburo walks you through everything from making a broth to the noodles on both a restaurant and personal scale. It's cool being able to see the finer details of a working ramen shop up close and personal as well as taking knowledge and skills that can be applied at home
