Select landmarks include Takayama Jinya, one of the only remaining Edo Period provincial governor’s offices in Japan, and Yamazakura Shrine, where you can admire the handiwork of Takayama’s Takumi wood carvers.
After your history walk, you’ll visit the morning markets of Takayama, the Hida-Takayama Miyagawa Morning Market, and the Jinya-Mae Morning Market.
