But what goes into an award-winning ramen — and could any of us try to make it ourselves?
Thankfully, Chef Ishigooka doesn't keep secrets. A friendly, welcoming host, he shares his love for the craft and his best ramen-making techniques in this comprehensive class at his restaurant, Shibasaki Tei, where he will teach you how to make authentic ramen from scratch, from creating a rich broth to kneading and cutting perfect noodles with locally sourced ingredients and innovative methods, helping you achieve the balance of flavors that make ramen a worldwide favorite.

Meet your host outside the restaurant, just a one-minute walk from the South Exit of Umegaoka Station in Setagaya Ward 10 minutes before the start time. More detailed information and a Google Maps link will be provided upon booking.
Remarks
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time. The class will begin at the scheduled time. You may join after the start, but the host cannot provide instruction for the parts you missed.
Please avoid wearing strong perfume or cologne.
Please note that the chef is not fluent in English, but an English-speaking co-host will assist with communication throughout the class.
For safety reasons, children under 10 years old are generally not allowed to participate.
If you are feeling unwell on the day of the class, please refrain from attending. For safety, participation may be declined in certain cases.
