Yuikaji
Enjoy Okinawan cuisine, including Ishigaki Island’s Misaki beef, and live shamisen performances at Yuikaji.
Restaurant Details
Located in the center area of Ishigaki Island, Yuikaji is an izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that opened in 2013 and is popular among locals.
The restaurant not only offers Okinawan cuisine and steaks made from brand-name beef that's native to the island, but also hosts live shamisen performances so you can enjoy the local Okinawan music. A wide variety of awamori (Okinawan distilled alcohol) and Ishigaki beer are also available.
The Misaki beef, local to Ishigaki Island, is recommended. The marbled fat of the Misaki wagyu is made to melt at 36 degrees Celsius, which is the temperature of the human body. The meat is not only tender, but it also retains the natural savory, meaty smell and gives you the feeling that you are eating premium meat.
