Mimoza
A classic taste of old Shanghai, just a short walk from Omotesando crossing.
Restaurant Details
The interior of this Omotesando Chinese restaurant is all concrete and stylish grays, with bright light streaming through the large windows, and urns painted with Chinese script sitting atop the slate gray counter.
Though the design may be very modern, the menu is fantastically classic. Mimosa offers one of the most authentic tastes of old Shanghai on the Tokyo food scene, a fact which has earned it a Michelin star.
Though a la carte ordering is possible, it’s best to try the very reasonably priced set menu. This small-dish tasting course offers a full panoramic insight into Shanghai cuisine, with premium ingredients like oxtail, Jinhua ham, petan tofu, and jellyfish.
