Il Ristorante - Niko Romito (Bulgari Hotel Tokyo)
Dine at Tokyo’s Michelin-starred Il Ristorante - Niko Romito, where classic Italian dishes are rewritten into vibrant, transformative experiences.
Restaurant Details
Earning its first Michelin Star a mere eight months after its grand opening, Il Ristorante - Niko Romito pairs Japanese design aesthetics with a contemporary take on classic Italian cuisine.
Chef Niko Romito is one of Italy’s most recognizable figures in the culinary scene, in spite of his relatively recent rise to prominence. Entirely self-taught, he earned his first Michelin star in 2007 after just seven years of running his first restaurant, Reale. The restaurant would then go on to receive a second in 2009 and a third in 2014, cementing Chef Romito’s place in the culinary hall of fame.
His Il Ristorante concept was developed exclusively for Bulgari Hotels & Resorts all around the world. Dedicated to revising iconic Italian dishes into light, unpretentious experiences, each of the restaurant’s menus revolve around a gradual buildup of flavors to truly delight the senses at every step of the culinary journey. Classic dishes like Antipasto all’Italiana incorporate Japanese vegetables, mushrooms, and seafood, all while remaining true to Romito’s “Made in Italy” approach — an approach that has earned him a Michelin star in the Michelin Guide Tokyo 2024.
Il Ristorante - Niko Romito is located on the 40th floor of the luxurious Bulgari Hotel Tokyo. The fare may be Italian, but the interior makes use of elegant Japanese design aesthetics, especially with its curved wood ceiling. The outdoor seating provides a breathtaking view of the sprawling metropolis, perfect for a romantic night out.
