Ajidokoro Otani
Discover authentic traditional Japanese food, and the unique style of a Michelin-starred chef, at this Nagoya kaiseki.
Restaurant Details
One of Nagoya’s best traditional Japanese restaurants, Ajidokoro Otani serves fine kaiseki meals made by a Michelin-starred chef. The course menu mainly consists of traditional dishes, but with idiosyncratic touches to enhance the flavors in interesting ways.
The sesame tofu is a highlight, served with sesame crackers and sesame cream. Perhaps not one for those who aren’t fans of sesame, but delicious nonetheless! This is featured alongside a range of other delicious small plates, ending with a clay pot of Koshihikari rice with red snapper and seasonal vegetables.
The L-shaped counter is the best spot for seeing all of the ornate, delicate dishes come together, but tatami rooms for 4 to 6 people are also available.
