A traditional kaiseki menu, enjoyed with fantastic views of the city as this Michelin-starred kaiseki restaurant by Nagoya Station.

Restaurant Details

The main branch of this Michelin-starred kaiseki restaurant is located in Arashiyama — the area of Kyoto known for its concentration of significant Zen temples. The setting of this outlet couldn’t be much more different from those peaceful streets, as Kyoto-Kitocho Nagoya is located on the 41st floor of the Nagoya Midland Square Building.

This offers amazing views out over the city — more than enough compensation for the relative lack of history in the walls themselves. In addition to the main dining area, the restaurant has private rooms for both large numbers of people and small groups, in Japanese and Western styles.

The menu features excellent pickled and grilled seafood, in dishes such as scallops with seasonal vegetables and dashi jelly, and prawn dumplings with sesame tofu soup. All of these are served on ornate ceramics, which match the seasonal feel of the ingredients own offer.
