Experience Details
Ramen, a steamy bowl of noodles with nutritious toppings in a flavorful broth, pairs wonderfully with gyoza, Japanese crispy fried dumplings filled with pork and vegetables. This class is designed for guests who want to learn how to make two of Japan's most delicious foods, ramen and gyoza, which locals often enjoy together.
First, you'll learn how to make ramen. You'll make the noodles from scratch with wheat flour, cook them, and soak them in a salty broth before crowning them with toppings (like chicken and vegetables) to complete your dish.
Then, it's time for gyoza, Japan's famous pan-fried dumplings. You'll make gyoza wrappers with wheat flour, and prepare two different fillings (meat and vegetables). Once each gyoza dumpling is filled, you'll learn how to fry them to the perfect crisp. Lastly, you'll enjoy your two types of gyoza with some delicious dipping sauce!
Sample menu (please note that the ingredients are subject to change depending on availability and seasonality):
- Shio (salt) ramen with chicken (toppings: chicken, green onion, sweet corn, and seaweed)
- 3 pieces of round-shaped meat gyoza (filled with pork, cabbage and other vegetables)
- 2 pieces of vegetable gyoza (filled with mushrooms, cabbage, and other vegetables)
-Dessert!
