Since 2018, Saeko–your cheerful cooking instructor–has taught over 500 international guests in English. Saeko-san previously lived in Denmark and has traveled to 21 countries–experiences that fuelled her passion for connecting with other cultures through the art of Japanese cooking. When she traveled abroad, Saeko taught Japanese recipes to her friends and enjoyed sharing these experiences with them. Now back in Japan, she hopes to connect with people from countries far and wide through her range of home-cooking experiences.
Your cooking class will take place at Saeko’s home, where you’ll make three types of vegan sushi: nigiri sushi, thin-rolled sushi, and an avocado roll. You’ll learn how to make sushi rice, prepare the ingredients, the art of making dashi stock, and more. After making your vegan sushi masterpieces, prepare soft tofu and miso soup.
