Take a day away from the bustling city of Tokyo and visit Enoshima island in Kanagawa. This small island has many activities and attractions to experience and visit, ranging from shrines, caves, and food! Enoshima Shrine is unique in that it is separated into three shrines that are scattered across the island. Many tourists come and pray to Benten, the goddess of Enoshima, as she is known to bring good fortune and wealth.

If you come with your significant other, make sure to visit the Love Bell located on top of Enoshima Hill. You can leave a memory by ringing the bell and writing cute messages on locks, which you can place on the fence. Explore Enoshima’s natural side and visit Iwaya Cave. This historic cave will leave you in awe as you view Buddhist statues and learn more about the legendary dragon god. Near the cave is the beautiful Southern Coast, where you can watch Mount Fuji light up from the gorgeous sunset.
