Yunke
Fine Korean cuisine with traditional medicinal values, and a menu developed by one of Korea’s finest chefs.
Restaurant Details
A unique figure among Ginza’s kaiseki, sushiya, and steakhouses, Yunka flies the flag for Korean fine dining. Mi-Wol Yoon is the owner, and her ancestor was head of the royal kitchen in Korea’s Josun period. As if that wasn’t a strong enough credential, she also holds special status as a master of Korean cuisine certified by the country’s government.
Her menu revolves around health-conscious dining, with ideas from traditional medicine incorporated. This means all-natural cooking which is rich in nutrition and well-balanced for the body.
To create these dishes, the restaurant imports some ingredients from the homeland, with fresh Japanese ingredients making up the rest. As you can imagine, outstanding kimchi is one of the highlights.
Seating is limited to private rooms only, making Yunke perfect for business entertaining, or dining with friends. The interior is a refined look at South Korean art and design, and filled with traditional Korean music.
