Come to Vege Cafe Chamama and enjoy vegan meals made from seasonal organic vegetables and proteins made from okara konjac.

Restaurant Details

In 2006, with the aspiration to express their gratefulness to mother nature, Chamama opened to deliver vegan meals that are refreshing to both your body and soul.

This small restaurant has a calm cozy setup, and there is more space inside than you would think. It’s a bit further from the center of Aomori, so you might need to travel a bit to get there, but the food here is completely worth the journey.

Chamama’s pride lies in its okara konjac (soy pulp combined with konjac)--the owner uses it as a meat substitute for a lot of tasty dishes, all additive-free. At lunchtime from 11:30 AM to 2 PM, you can order the weekly lunch set with the content being changed every two weeks, with macrobiotic rice, various types of vegetables, and pickles, along with a bowl of soup. Another option is the keema curry rice with okara konjac and seasonal vegetables.

Relax and enjoy teatime from 2 PM to 4 PM with a wide range of organic drinks and sweets.
