TOBIUME
Tour the mountains, coasts, and forests of Kyushu with one of the island’s best kappo chefs.
Restaurant Details
The people of Japan’s southern island take pride in their corner of the country, and it's not difficult to understand why. Here stunning coastlines and dramatic mountains set the backdrop for every journey, and volcanic hot springs dot the land.
In the far north of Kyushu lies the city of Kitakyushu, awaits a kappo restaurant which prides itself in offering up the best that the local region has to offer. Each part of the set course has a theme — earth, shallow sea dive, deep sea, etc. — however the particular dishes in each change seasonally.
No matter the time of year, diners are treated to charcoal grilled meat, fish and vegetable dishes with modern twists but a traditional essence. For a taste of northern Kyushu with Michelin star quality, there’s nowhere better.
