Restaurant Details
The blessings of heaven, and the blessings of the mountains. Literally translated, this is what Tennosachi Yamanosachi’s name means — and with every bite of perfectly marbled wagyu taken, diners will more deeply understand the significance of the restaurant’s title.
Two kinds of beef are served at Tennosachi Yamanosachi. On one hand there is Omi beef, which is said to be one of Japan’s three greatest wagyu beef alongside Matsuzaka and Kobe beef. On the other hand, there is Miyazaki beef, dubbed the “king of wagyu”, having held the accolade of Prime Minister’s Award for 15 years straight.
The restaurant’s Miyazaki beef is sourced personally from suppliers in Miyazaki, giving the chefs access to rare cuts of beef usually available only to restaurants within the prefecture. Meanwhile, only the most suitable cuts of Omi beef for sukiyaki and shabu-shabu are selected to be used in the restaurant’s hotpot dishes.
Within the restaurant’s walls, renowned architect Noi Shigemasa has designed a dining space that skilfully interweaves natural wood and warm lighting, letting diners relish these top-quality meats in an environment unlike any other.
Enjoy special cuts of lean meat and beef loin from one of Japan’s most famous brands of wagyu. Served in a number of different styles, from roast beef to diced steak, it is invariably still one thing: absolutely delicious.
