Ryomakaido Shinagawa
Get a taste of Shikoku (along with more than a few tastes of sake) at this Shinagawa izakaya which is perfect for big parties.
Restaurant Details
Shinagawa is often overlooked as a drinking and eating district, in favor of more central places. However, if you find yourself down this neck of the woods, you have no shortage of options for good eating and drinking.
Ryomakaido Shinagawa is one of the top choices. Here they specialize in Shikoku cuisine, hailing from the large island which hugs along the coast of Kansai. This means excellent seafood such as grilled red bonito, and flavor-packed dishes like grilled chicken thigh with garlic sauce. Much of the seafood and chicken is sourced from the island itself for authenticity’s sake.
It has a classic Japanese interior with red plaster walls and floral painted screens along one side. The sunken seats run across long tables. Private space is available for up to 70 people, so why not grab sixty-nine friends (or just one or two) and settle in for an evening of delicious regional cuisine and great drinks.
