Don’t miss Natural Cake Fukurou, a restaurant that offers fresh meals made from veggies in the backyard and amazing vegan cakes that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
Restaurant Details
Fukurou is a small restaurant where you can enjoy a lunch that makes your body and heart happy. The owner started Fukurou with the idea of providing a healthy diet for a family member. Their smile after trying her food was unforgettable, and so from then on every recipe was carefully crafted to spread that joy to everyone.
As the name translates to “owl” in English, the place is decorated with a lot of cute owl figurines. “Fukurou Lunch” is the most popular menu item, prepared using the seasonal vegetables that are grown locally, and you can have fermented fruit juice for an extra 200 yen. There are two choices of rice: brown rice and rice with mixed grains. Other menu items, including curry rice or vegetable quiches, are also available.
But Fukurou’s forte actually lies in desserts. It’s a vegan bakery that has everything from chiffon cakes, macarons, to tarts and cheesecakes, all delicious without the use of milk, eggs, or sweeteners.
