Kariamudhu (南インドカレー カリアムドゥ)
Southeast Asian
Vegan Curry spot that serves authentic South Indian curry that brings two India's culture right to Japan.
Restaurant Details
Kariamudhu serves South Indian food, which is rare in Yamanashi prefecture. It has a renovated interior that mirrors an old folk house made of mostly wood, providing it with a cozy atmosphere.
South Indian curry is considered to be a healthier type of curry than Northern Indian curry because it is centered on vegetables, beans, and fish. In addition, it also serves rice rather than naan.
The curry restaurant has two menus, one specifically for vegans and one that has all the regular dishes with vegetables and meat. To order a vegan dish, one should order from the vegan-only menu. The regular menu does have one or two dishes of vegan salad.
Customers have a wide range of options for customization. It is recommended that customers order the regular spiciness level as the food here can get really hot. There is also the option to upgrade from a normal to a large portion of rice for a low price
