Restaurant Details
Clean, modern and chic interiors greet visitors as they enter this yakiniku restaurant nestled in the cozy Kagurazaka, Tokyo’s little French neighborhood, and centered around three major stations.
The restaurant sources its cows from Taniguchi Farm, where the animals are left to roam in the hilly, vast pastures in Hokkaido. Only the highest quality A5 kuroge wagyu of its own brand, the award-winning Furano wagyu, is selected through an eagle-eyed focus on the deliciousness of meat and fat. The outcome is nothing short of extraordinary: Furano Wagyu boasts a melt-in-your-mouth texture, sweet undertones, and rich umami. Its exceptional quality has earned it the prestigious Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award.
Different and delectable options pepper the menu, with an incredible course meal that includes yakiniku, shabu-shabu and steak. Meat sushi is another option and has the chefs mathematically nestle sliced wagyu on top of sushi rice. Its signature dashi shabu has decadent sirloins swimming gently in its delicate dashi broth. The namesake’s wagyu has a low melting point, making it easy to digest, and a quick dip in the broth will melt the fat and give it a subtle yet satisfying flavor.
Service sets the gold standard for high-end dining, mirroring its hard-to-reserve Sapporo branch. On most occasions, staff guides diners through each cut and sharing insights on how to savor every bite to the fullest. A smile and homespun charm is a constant throughout the experience.
A large selection of drinks is available, carefully selected to pair perfectly with Hokkaido ingredients.
