Discover the taste of kaiseki cuisine in Okayama at Bricole, a restaurant with one Michelin star.

Restaurant Details

Located on the second floor of a gallery in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, Bricole received a one-star rating in the Michelin Guide Okayama 2021 in the fall of 2020. The name of the restaurant is derived from the French word "bricolage," which means "to gather and make."

At Bricole, they offer a kaiseki dish called "hassun" consisting of a cedar tray bearing seasonal sake snacks from the sea and the mountains. In Japanese cuisine, the number of dishes has increased over time, and the term "hassun" has come to mean a plate containing a variety of small dishes from the mountains, fields, and rivers; including boiled, steamed, grilled, dressed, and pickled dishes.

Visit the restaurant to discover more about kaiseki cuisine. You’ll soon understand why Bricole has a one Michelin star rating from the Michelin Guide 2021.
