Have a taste of the internationally famous melt-in-your-mouth Kobe Beef, and learn more about Kobe City during this food tour! The walking tour will begin with a visit to the oldest shrine in Kobe, Ikuta Shrine, framed by a beautiful tori gate at its entrance. You are welcome to participate in our short meditation at a sanctuary grove and revel in the tranquility of the surroundings and the fresh morning air.
We will then explore the town of Kitano, a small and quaint town in the heart of Kobe City. Known to be one of the most culturally diverse towns in Japan, you will get the opportunity to learn about how different nationalities and religions have, for over 150 years, lived together harmoniously in this town, as we stroll through Kitano. It is home to many different religious buildings, such as a mosque, churches, and Indian and Buddhist temples.
We will also visit Kitano Square, where a famous spot grants you a beautiful panoramic view of the city of Kobe. We will then visit one of Kobe’s most popular Kobe Beef restaurants where you can enjoy delicious Kobe beef steak and a live performance by the chef!
