Hiro was absolutely fantastic! We had an incredible time on the tour with him. He introduced us to some amazing food and shared fascinating insights about Kyoto’s local customs, which we truly appreciated. His knowledge and passion for what he does made every moment engaging and fun. Plus, we got a photographer for our experience too!

Hiro has a lot of knowledge, energy and enthusiasm. Very knowledgeable and happy to adjust for food preferences and style of dining. We went to a couple of places where I was the only westerner, and after eating we went on a walking tour of the Gion district at night (it's quite beautiful at night). Again, Hiro is happy to work with you here and adjust the activity level and distance, or skip it altogether if you'd prefer. I'd happily join Hiro again next time I'm in Kyoto!

We had an amazing night - the food was delicious, tailored to our tastes and level of adventure (which was not high for the kids). We finished our evening with a walking tour through Gion - it was fantastic. 10/10 - hands down the best activity we’ve done since arriving into Japan. Highly recommend!

Amazing way to sample Kyoto's food delicacies including a "locals only" tour of Kyoto's hidden gems with the wonderful Hiro as our guide! Hiro went out of his way to take us to restaurants specialising in our preferred cuisine, provided historical and cultural facts and even walked us to the station and helped us buy return train tickets. Highly recommended!!!!

We had a fantastic evening with our Kyoto Izakaya food guide, Hiroshi! We truly appreciated his enthusiasm when sharing his love and knowledge of the food and culture. All the food choices that he made for us were fabulous and delicious! And we thoroughly enjoyed our after dinner stroll through Gion and surrounding areas, all while Hiro shared interesting facts about Japanese culture & traditions. We highly recommend Hiro if you want a fun night out with wonderful memories of Kyoto that you can look back on fondly!
