Restaurant Details

Combine an all-time favorite Japanese dish with high-quality culinary skills, and Torisho Ishii is born. Awarded one Michelin star in its first year, the restaurant prides itself on high-quality yakitori — charcoal-grilled chicken skewers — and it became an instant hit when it opened.

Due to the simplicity of yakitori cuisine, chef and owner Yoshitomo Ishii defined his own style of yakitori. He revolutionized it to create a highly sophisticated cuisine by implementing his impeccable techniques to seasonal grills, side dishes, and soups. The chicken used at Torisho Ishii is among the best quality free-range chicken in all of Japan, and the chef even considered the nitty-gritty details like the charcoal, imported from Wakayama Prefecture, known for its rich fragrance and endurance.

The restaurant’s menus offer a range of choice, from yakitori-only courses to others with a combination of yakitori and other dishes (including a chicken croquette burger presented in the shape of a chicken head).
