Patisserie Paris S'eveille
Coffee and cake have never tasted as good as at this trendy Jiyugaoka patisserie.
Restaurant Details
Located on Green Street in Jiyugaoka, in an area sometimes referred to as Tokyo’s “Little Europe,” this cake shop and cafe serves up some of the best sweet treats in Tokyo.
Patissier Yoshiake Kaneko trained at several highly-reputed patisseries in Paris before returning to Tokyo to open his own. Here he serves up classics which he mastered in his formative days, such as Gâteau Basque, a type of pastry filled with black cherries and cream.
The presentation on display is befitting of someone who was trained by the Parisian masters, shown in short cylindrical sponges topped with mounds of assorted berries arranged as carefully as a bouquet of flowers, and chocolate slices with shining glazed icing and slices of candied orange perched on top.
This is a perfect place to pass an hour or an afternoon, in the company of friends or by yourself, with coffee and tea available to wash down the delectable sweets.
