Nestled amidst the glittering skyscrapers of Ginza, Mutsukari stands as a testament to Japanese culinary excellence and refined dining in the heart of Tokyo.

Restaurant Details

For those with a deep appreciation for the craft of kaiseki, Mutsukari stands as a testament to what many would argue is the pinnacle of Japan’s culinary tradition.

As Tokyo's epicenter of sophistication, Ginza boasts an array of culinary gems, but among them, Mutsukari shines even brighter as a beacon of Michelin-starred brilliance.

To step through the restaurant’s door is to embark on a culinary journey led by master chef Akiyama Yoshihisa. Through his carefully crafted course menus, guests are invited follow in Chef Akiyama’s footsteps across Japan, as in his quest to find the farmers with the finest produce. These ingredients are then lovingly combined in Mutsukari’s sixth-floor kitchen, which in traditional kappo style, remains open for guests to see the magic happen.

Speaking of which, Mutsukari offers a large variety of different seating options. The restaurant is divided into three floors, each with its own seating plan. The sixth-floor counter seats are the most hotly demanded, due to their proximity to Chef Akiyama, but guests who want a quieter, more private dining experience would be better suited to the seventh floor. But the most exclusive experience is the reservation-only Mutsukari room on the eighth, which even has its own dedicated kitchen.

The Michelin-starred establishment in Ginza is not merely a restaurant; it is a destination where culinary artistry, meticulous craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to excellence converge.
