Restaurant Details
Fukuoka is a breathtaking city with some of the country’s best food. Sink your teeth deeper into Fukuoka’s food profile, and you’ll also find Kifuku, a beautiful restaurant in the popular Tenjin district, offering fresh sushi and more on top of beautiful dishware and great vibes.
Featured in 2019’s Michelin Guide for Fukuoka, Kifuku takes Kyushu’s fresh fish and elevates it through the masterful handiwork of head chef Nobuhisa Tonari, a veteran of the famed Nishi-Azabu kaiseki restaurant Miyako Wasure. Chef Tonari applies these skills to a staggering variety of side dishes, from fluffy rolled eggs to mouthwatering tempura. All 22 items from the omakase course are made with locally-sourced seasonal ingredients, each one highlighting a unique flavor of Kyushu.
To top it all off, Kifuku also provides diners with a visual feast, as each dish comes beautifully prepared on intricate and delicate dishware, evoking a sense of art and serenity making each dish both a treat for the eyes and the tongue. With its attention to quality both gastronomic and aesthetic, a meal at Kifuku is simply unforgettable.
