A tempura restaurant boasting over 180 years of history, which faithfully carries the banner for authentic Edomae tempura!

Restaurant Details

Asakusa is an area of Tokyo absolutely swimming in history. This tempura store shares in a vast portion of that history, having made its home on these streets since 1837. They have been faithfully representing the Tokyo style of tempura ever since, using a sesame oil blend to fry up fresh seafood and vegetables.

They even go to great lengths to celebrate the culture and history of Tokyo and Japan with their tempura, curating special deals and menus to celebrate the various festivals and events throughout the year.

On the standard daily menu, expect various set meals too ranging from hearty lunch meals to full banquet set-course deals. A la carte ordering is also possible, from a long list of tempura styles, tendon tempura rice bowls, and karaage fried chicken.

Sure, you could just buy a few pieces from their street-facing counter, but a sit-in meal is recommended to enjoy the full range of delicious tempura, and the traditional teahouse surroundings of the store.
