Restaurant Details

Just down the street from Shoin Shrine in Setagaya, this bakery has gained widespread acclaim for their top-quality loaves of bread and delicious danishes. The kitchen here is run by a Setagaya native, who chose this beautiful residential corner of Tokyo as the site for their bakery.

The shop draws a queue of locals even in the early morning before opening, so if you want the best pick of the day’s treats (prepared fresh in the early hours of the morning), you’ll have to get up bright and early.

Even if you arrive at midday, you’ll still be treated to a range of amazing danishes (topped with cherries and other fruits) and loaves such as the rustic rusk breads. For breakfast, the best pick is probably the honey toast, and for lunch you can’t go wrong with the seasonal pizza slices.
